Can sheep milk be frozen? Would it be useful to buy ahead when it’s available and freeze for later use? We freeze raw cow’s milk which, while successful, thaws to a more grainy condition. The cream separates and when thawed, does not mix well with the milk. Tastes OK but looks a little strange in my coffee.

I could give a damn about any other milk than “whole” cow’s milk! (Which I’ve loved the TASTSE of for all my 73, so I’m not!) The rest of you, and those that can’t drink cow’s milk, tough! Why should I care, I don’t, it’s not my problem! But I’ll throw you a bone.At least you can and do have alternatives, go at it! “Best”? In the stomach(?), taste buds and wallet of the beholder, it’s subjective. S

I used to have a milking goat herd. There are many things that can be done to proper handle goats and the milk that take away any unwanted bad flavor. Proper nutritional care of the goats is #1. Proper handling of the milk, getting it chilled quickly, filtered and stored are also a few things that help. Our milk customers were very happy with our goats milk.
