Yes, you are allergic, not maybe. The only way to find out is to use the avocado oil. I can related, I can eat apples, drink apple cider, use ACV without any allergic reaction. But I'm allergic to drinking apple juice.

Interesting comment. No, coconut oil is never ever messy to use. I was born and grew up in the Philippines ?? and coconut oil is our main go to oil for cooking, baking, etc. I left the archipelago for the US in 1976. Coconut oil turns/begins to solidify when the temperature is at and/or dipped below 75°F. Coconut oil came in cannisters so it can be heated without worrying that it might/will break. Cans with spout/opening the size of glass bottle for easy and safe pouring. Here in the State, coconut oils came in jars, not bottles. What I do is I spoon out the solid oil. Or I put the jar under running hot water.

Warning, if you have sluggish thick bile (the main symptom of which is stomach pain after eating rich meals) then beware when using coconut oil. Never use coconut oil in isolation in a meal - blend it with olive oil to ensure that your gallbladder is stimulated - several times a day. I used only coconut oil in my meals for years and this damaged my digestion badly and now I have to take TUDCA to thin my bile each meal and also in-between meals. So, mix and match using Organic Coconut with EV Olive oil and GrassFed butter. Beware, most affordable avocado oils are made with class 2 old and reject avocados and they are not fit to use. Eat them whole rather than buying poor oil made with rotting avocados! One good brand though is Hunter Gatherer.
See Dr Eric Berg's website for info on how to heal your digestion - especially gallbladder/liver pain. God Bless!

Very nice article.
I offer some details about canola oil that might be of interest.
Canola oil in contrast to many other vegetable seed oils contains a low ratio of omega 6 and omega 3, a ratio of 3:1, the two make up some 30% of canola oil. Moreover, canola oil contains some 60% oleic acid (found in olive oil). Olive oil contains some 70% oleic acid, 15 % omega 6 and 1% omega 3. Our bodies needs fats, that can be solid or in the form of an oil, some 70g per day.
The ideal ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 is said to be 3:1 to 1:3, so canola oil complies with this and is quite different to some seed oils that contain omega 6 to omega 3 in a ratio of 20:1. Please advise where one can find the ratios of omega 6 to omega 3 used in the article.
